Introduction to the Dialysis Department

The Dialysis Unit is located on the first floor of the hospital, in the South Wing, adjacent to the POST-B and Diplomat wards. On average, approximately 2,500 dialysis procedures are performed annually in this unit. Around 80% of these patients are intubated and clinically unstable, requiring bedside dialysis treatment.

  • Patients with Heart Failure (HF)
  • Patients after open-heart surgery
  • Performing invasive procedures
  • Services for critically ill cardiovascular patients connected to life-support equipment
  • Patients with acute kidney injury (AKI)
  • Patients with a previous history of chronic kidney failure who have undergone dialysis and now require cardiovascular medical services at this hospital

• Facilities and Equipment

  This unit is equipped with 3 hemodialysis machines, 1 online Reverse Osmosis (R/O) system for supplying standard water required by the machines, 2 ventilators, 2 additional hemodialysis machines, and 2 CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy) devices in the ICU, along with a dedicated R/O water treatment system.
